UNESA Welcomes the Arrival of RELO Fellow for English Language Teaching Development

Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Syaif'ul Anam,
expressed his appreciation for the ongoing collaboration with the Regional
English Language Office (RELO), this time in the English Language Fellow (ELF)
program at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The ELF program provides English
language teaching experts from the United States. Projects usually undertaken
by ELF include English language teaching (such as TOEFL, IELTS, English
writing, listening, and speaking skills), teacher or lecturer training, and other
cultural activities.
Phillip Taw will be a RELO Fellow at the Faculty of Language and Arts, UNESA, for 10 months starting in September 2024. In his program, Phillip Taw will collaborate with the English Literature Study Program and English Education Study Programs (Bachelor’s and Master’s. Along with study program experts, Phillip will teach courses such as Global & Intercultural Communication, Prose Appreciation, and Academic Speaking and Writing Skills.
In
addition to teaching, Phillip will also hold consultations on academic essay
writing, such as thesis, journal, etc., for UNESA academic community (students
and lecturers). This consultation will be held every Monday in English
Literature Study Program or English Education Study Program (by appointment).
