NEUSCO 2025: Exploring Fresh Perspectives in English Language and Literature

Dr. Ali Mustofa, S.S., M.Pd., lecturer from the English Literature Study Program, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, was invited as a keynote speaker at NEUSCO 2025, a national seminar organized by the English Literature Department of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. The event, held on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, at the Amphitheater, 9th floor of the Faculty of Adab and Humanities (FAHUM) UINSA, carried the theme “Fresh Perspectives: Transforming English Language and Literature in the 21st Century.” Dr. Mustofa shared his insights on how English language and literature studies can adapt to the changing cultural and technological landscape, emphasizing innovation and interdisciplinary approaches in literary education.

The seminar also featured Istna Syahadatul Dimurriyah, M.A. from UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, who discussed current trends in language and cultural studies. The event drew enthusiastic participation from students, lecturers, and researchers across disciplines, creating a lively forum for dialogue and reflection. Through NEUSCO 2025, UINSA and UNESA strengthened academic collaboration while reaffirming their shared commitment to advancing critical and creative approaches to English studies in the digital age.
