Master’s Students Join Exclusive Session on Day Two of Visiting Top Professor Program
Surabaya — The second day of the Visiting Top Professor program at the Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS), Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA), was specially dedicated to master’s students. As part of the Academic Mastery Program: From AI-Enhanced Learning to High-Impact Research Writing, the session gave postgraduate students a valuable opportunity to learn directly from an international expert and strengthen their academic skills.

Led by Prof. Jessie Barrot, Ph.D., Full Professor and Vice President for Research and Development at National University, Philippines, the session focused on research writing, developing strong ideas, and building confidence as young scholars. With a warm and engaging approach, Prof. Barrot encouraged students to see research as a process of curiosity, discipline, and continuous improvement. He also shared how artificial intelligence can be used responsibly to support academic work.
The session created an interactive and inspiring atmosphere, where students actively asked questions and discussed their research challenges. By dedicating the second day to master’s students, FBS UNESA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting postgraduate development and preparing students to contribute to the wider academic community.
