Learning from the Industry: Practitioner Lecture on Tourism and Hospitality

The English Literature Study Program of the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, will hold a Practitioner Lecture on Tourism and Hospitality on March 6, 2026, at 09:30 AM in Auditorium T2, 3rd Floor. This session is exclusively designed for the 2024 cohort as part of the program’s commitment to connecting academic learning with real-world professional experiences. The event aims to provide students with practical insights into the tourism and hospitality industry, particularly in the areas of marketing communication, branding, and professional practices in hospitality services.

The lecture will feature Aries Luhur Haryono, Marketing & Communication Manager of Aston Inn Jemursari, Surabaya, as the invited practitioner speaker. Through his professional experience in the hospitality industry, he will share valuable perspectives on industry trends, communication strategies, and career opportunities in tourism and hospitality. This practitioner lecture is expected to broaden students’ understanding of how communication and language skills developed in the English Literature program can be applied in dynamic professional sectors such as hospitality and tourism.
