English Literature Lecturers and Students Conduct a Reflective Teacher Workshop for Educators at SDN Kepuhkiriman I through the Community Service Program (PKM)

As part of the Community Service Program (PKM), a team of English Literature lecturers consisting of Ayu Saraswati, S.Hum., M.Hum., Prof. Dr. Pratiwi Retnaningdyah, M.A., Ph.D., and Muhammad Andrean Syahsurya, S.Pd., M.A., collaborated with three English Literature students, Syarifatul Ilmi Rahmah, Nisrina Nadhifah, and Marvion Farrel Aleandra Rosali, to conduct a Reflective Teacher Workshop at SDN Kepuh Kiriman I. Held under the theme "Developing Pedagogical Competence through Critical Reflection for Teachers Across Disciplines" ("Mengembangkan Kompetensi Pedagogik Melalui Refleksi Kritis bagi Guru Lintas Disiplin"), the workshop is aimed to equip teachers with the skills to engage in systematic reflective practice as a means of improving the quality of classroom instruction.

The workshop was led by Prof. Dr. Pratiwi Retnaningdyah as the keynote speaker. Throughout the program, participants took part in a variety of interactive activities designed to deepen their understanding of reflective teaching as a continuous process of learning from their own classroom practice. Through activities such as an icebreaker session, a Myths vs. Facts discussion, identifying critical incidents in teaching, and practicing the 3W Reflection Model (What? So What? Now What?), participants were encouraged to objectively analyze their teaching experiences, develop a personal theory of teaching, and ended the workshop with writing individual commitment statements as concrete steps toward sustaining reflective practice.

The Principal of SDN Kepuh Kiriman I and SDN Bungurasih, Mr. Budi Utomo, S.Pd., M.M., expressed his appreciation for the successful organization of the Reflective Teacher Workshop and hoped that reflective practice would continue to be practiced by teachers. "I would like to thank the organizers for conducting this Reflective Teacher Workshop. I hope that fellow teachers will become increasingly motivated and enthusiastic about engaging in reflective practice throughout the teaching and learning process. By doing so, we can provide deeper, more meaningful learning experiences that are responsive to the needs of every student," he said.
