A Lively Cultural Parade and Grand Opening Celebrate English Literature Identity

The grand finale of ASMARALOKA FBS
UNESA 2026 reached its peak on Friday, August 21st, as new students (Garda
Muda) gathered on campus for the much-awaited cultural parade and opening
ceremony. The final day of orientation week ended with a lively celebration. It
was all about unity, artistic expression, and departmental pride across the
Faculty of Languages and Arts.
The English Literature group stood
out during the parade with their creative outfits. The new students walked
through the university wearing crowns and their usual clothes. They waved
American and British flags along the route to show off their academic focus on
global languages, literature, and culture.
The parade was led by the newly
appointed Ambassadors of English UNESA (AOE), which made the procession seem
even more impressive. Representatives from both student organisations walked at
the front wearing their ceremonial sashes. Mr Rayhan and Ms Abigayle
represented AELS, and Mr Ilham and Ms Salma represented ELCASA. They are role
models for the new students.
After the parade on campus, everything continued with the main inauguration event. The afternoon was filled with fun activities, like a talent show, performances where you could join in, and speeches from the people in charge. The party celebrated the end of PKKMB 2026 and welcomed the new students to the English Literature department.
